Big Weights by Kohl, Titan, and Ratchet at Gateway Sled Dog Winterfest 2011

A very successful and fun weight pull was had by Kohl, Titan, and Ratchet at the Winterfest 2011 weight pull hosted by the Gateway Sled Dog Club of St. Louis, MO.  On Saturday Titan won his 150 lb. class with a weight pull of 2,448, earning another leg toward his WWPDX title.  Kohl placed 2nd in the 125 lb. class with a pull of 2,336 - which was her personal best and finished her WWPDX title.  Ratchet placed 1st in the 125 lb. class with a pull of 2,448 to earn his first leg of his WWPDX title.

On Sunday Titan won his 150 lb. class with a weight pull of 2,336.  Kohl placed 3rd in the 125 lb. class tying her personal best from the previous day of 2,336.  Ratchet placed 1st in the 125 lb class with a personal best pull of 2,672.  With this pull he went MOST WEIGHT PULLED for the day and also earned another leg of his WWPDX title.  We had a great time meeting new friends and getting reacquainted with people we had met last year.  The Gateway Sled Dog Club did a fantastic job of running the weight pull, providing free food for all in attendance, and made everyone feel welcome.  We look forward to going back down to St. Louis to the Purina Farms Pull on March 19-20, 2011.
